THE EFFECTS OF CORONA VIRUS

From the time the first case of corona virus was announced,  it has impacted people both negatively and positively.  Some identified business opportunities and increased their income and profits. To some it was not a bad year but to others it is a year of struggle.

The schools and learning institutions were closed immediately. The students had to stay home with their parents and guardians to prevent further spread of the virus. This led to a lot of teenage pregnancies. Many girls got pregnant at early age. Some did it in exchange of sanitary pads. Not all parents buy sanitary pads,  to some,  the situation at home is so bad that she will depend on other people to buy for them who later on take advantage on them.  They end up getting pregnant. Some don't even know the person involved because they end up sleeping with many people. 

It led to fear and death. Many families and many people feared the fact that one had the virus.  Yes precaution is good but when you discriminate others in the society because they contracted it,  we make them hopeless and they prefer giving up. Many people died and some are still dying because of corona virus. Some think it's a death penalty but God is faithful and the recoveries are much higher than the mortality rate. The condition is worse when you have a pre- existing disease because the system becomes weak.  We should not fear instead we should take the precautions at heart and keep the social distance,  we should wash our hands and sanitize frequently and put on our masks always. 

It led to immorality in the communities.  Since most people lost their jobs,  there is no other way to sustain and keep their families. Some opt for immoral activities like robbery with violence and prostitution. The society became so insecure. ob is so merciless on such.  Even those doing prostitution,  yes the circumstances may lead one to but do we ever think of the outcomes.  What of the sexually transmitted diseases and the pregnancies.  Is it really worth the struggle.  I believe engaging in immorality is not a solution. 

It also led to loss of jobs. So many people lost their jobs. Some are still jobless till today.  This makes them idle.  And an idle mind is a devil's workshop. They will only think of involving themselves in immorality instead of being positive in every circumstance and finding something decent that will generate income to them.  Some even committed suicide because they could not provide for their families.  Was it a solution after all?  No,  the families became more and more miserable. Life can never be smooth all the time and we should be strong enough to withstand all the situations.  Our families still need us,  our friends too. Some people depend on us directly or indirectly.
