CORONA AND THE HARD TIMES

A lady having stress after loosing her job due to corona virus

Life has not been like before since the first case of Corona Virus was announced on March 2020. Tension and anxiety got  the best of many people. The virus was strange and very unfamiliar. Even the best scientists can  not figure what it is and how to come about it .Precaution was necessary to be taken. The spread of the virus is so fast that a partial lockdown  was implied on the most affected counties and towns.

People were advised to reduce their movements and the best option was for people to work from home.  Computers  made work easier.  This led to loss of job by many Kenyans. Those who still retained their jobs had salary reduce. Life became so difficult and people lived from hand to mouth.  Many businesses stopped and economy at large became poor.

Well wishers and sponsors came in to help but the food they donated could not sustain the hungry nation for long. Some opt to relocate to rural since they could not raise money for their rents. Luckily,  some good house owners were so understanding and let the tenants live for like three months without paying rent.

Indeed, a working nation is a growing nation. Since the government could not do anything, the economy had to be opened so that people could live with the disease. Hence the new normal. Keep safe.  Corona is real,  it is here and it kills.
